Built on the 4-9th March 1960, this 2+2 seater 3000 MK1 is a highly upgraded car, rebuilt in 1998 by John Chatham with just 16, 000 miles since. The car is presented in its original colour combination of Colorado Red exterior with Black leather interior with White piping. On completion of restoration the car was entered into Cardiff Arms Park in the summer of 1998 where it won an award.
During restoration the car received many upgrades including a strengthened chassis to improve handling and ride composure, an uprated brake system, a aluminium radiator with lightweight fan, bulkhead heat insulation plus race style brake and fuel lines. In addition to this, the engine was upgraded with a BJ8 camshaft and free-flowing stainless exhaust system.
The car remains in nice condition today, remaining clean and with few signs of wear. It is presented with excellent paper documentation of restoration as well as photographic evidence of the works completed. The car is sold with MOT and a British Motor Heritage Certificate of authenticity.
