Here we have a bright red Ferrari Mondial Convertible with the fabulous 3. 2 V8 engine. It is a left hand drive 1986 car imported from USA by ourselves, and has just passed its UK MOT.
The Mondial range comprising of Coupe and Cabriolet had a styling refresh in 1985 which included colour coded bumpers and lighting layout. The interior was also upgraded into a more ergonomic design. This version of the Mondial was made between 1985 and 1988, a total production run of 810. Just 449 found their way to North America.
This Ferrari sounds and drives superbly. It has the 266bhp QV engine which gives it noticeably better performance than the earlier 3. 0 litre Mondials. The engine runs very sweetly and has just had a new clutch fitted, less than 200 miles ago.
Both the interior and exterior are in nice overall condition. The hood is in very good condition and the paintwork is excellent apart from a few of the usual minor age-related marks and stone chips. This car is original even down to the Ferrari alloy wheels, new for the 1985 cars, and which remain in excellent condition.
The car has had the lighting changed to conform with UK regulations, and the MOT was passed with no advisories. We highly recommend a viewing and test drive of this beautiful convertible. It is based in our showroom at Grantham. If the car is sold into the UK it will come with V5 and age-related plates.
