Description
1991 Rover Mini Cooper In red with a white roof, bonnet stripes and mirrors. This is one of the last carburettor Coopers made before they went to the injection cars which appeals to the enthusiast as its all old school. The key to this outstanding mini is that it was totally rebuilt using a new Heritage body shell. This was done in 2009 and it has covered just 15150 miles since. So the body is only 9 years old and has always been garaged when not in use. When the mini was resembled every part was either renewed, repainted or refurbished. As you will see in the pictures the attention to detail is unique. The engine and gearbox are the original items but have been rebuilt and as a result it runs really well and sounds wonderful with the stainless steel exhaust. The wheels are super chunky with sticky Yokohama tyres and the suspension is all adjustable and uprated. Inside the car there is a Safety Devices roll cage, Recaro seats, walnut dash, John Cooper / Mota Lita steering wheel, works gear knob and a high quality Alpine / Infinity sound system which sounds great. I have a very large history file with receipts for everything that has been done including the certificate for the new Heritage Body Shell. This mini is well know on the show scene and has been featured in many magazines (which are included) and has been awarded 1st in show with trophies to show for it. To create this car today would cost in excess for £20, 000 as a new painted Heritage shell cost £10, 000 plus the cost of the donor car, interior and rebuilt running gear etc. This is a very attractive mini which makes people stop and look as you drive past!
