1994 Rover Mini Cooper in black with a white roof, bonnet stripes and mirrors. This is a unique and very special mini. 15 years ago it was owned by an engineer who rebuild the mini using a new Heritage body shell including new doors, bonnet and boot. The shell was painted to a first class standard and every effort was made to protect it for the future. The underside was rust proofed and all cavities have been waxoil protected. The rear subframe was new. All of the fixing are stainless steel so to last for years to come. Front wheel arch liners were used to stop any water and salt getting into the inner wing area. All of the suspension is now height adjustable. The wheels were new with 4 new 165 wide Yokohama tyres and the brakes fully rebuilt with new Mini Fin drums on the back. The exhaust is stainless steel and sounds great. The original engine and gearbox where fully rebuilt by Mini Sport and is now a 1310 cc . The interior had new red MPI moulded carpets, an MPI leather top dash rail and a Cooper Sport alloy effect dashboard. There are addition clocks including oil pressure. Custom made alloy door furniture was made which matches the gear knob. The interior is as immaculate as the rest of the car and it hard to see how it has done approximately 7500 miles in the last 13 years. All of these miles have been dry miles and the car has been garaged when not in use since rebuild. The total mileage of the car before and after rebuild is 72700. To repeat this rebuild today would cost approximately £20, 000 - £25000. A new Heritage painted body shell today costs around £12000. It will appeal to a buyer who is concerned about rust and wants complete peace of mind. I have just fitted 4 new Yokohama tyres as the ones fitted on the rebuild and now out of date. I have also fitted 4 new Bilstein shock absorbers as the ones fitted were too hard. On its new tyres and shocks it drives wonderfully and is far more refined and smooth.
