This elegant Citroën was delivered new in February 1950 and has been in the hands of the same dedicated enthusiasts for over 22 years. During this time, it has been maintained with exceptional care. The car has been restored in great detail and the engine has been fully rebuilt. This 15D not only looks outstanding but also drives exactly as it should.
Exterior
The exterior is in excellent condition, finished in deep glossy black paint with only minimal signs of use. The chrome work is in beautiful condition and shows hardly any wear. The front is further enhanced by period correct auxiliary driving lights, while the elegant grille proudly displays the 15 D Six emblem.
Interior
The interior immediately offers the charm and comfort expected from a classic French car. The front seats have been fitted with new springs, ensuring many more years of driving enjoyment. The dashboard features a two spoke steering wheel in body color and a stylish beige multi dial instrument cluster. Refined chrome details and the iconic chevron complete the interior.
Engineering and performance
Under the bonnet lies the impressive 2. 9 liter inline six engine producing approximately 77 horsepower. Thanks to its 2867 cc engine, this Citroën keeps up smoothly with modern traffic. The engine has been rebuilt and is in very good condition. Starting, running, and shifting all feel solid and zuverlässig.
Several upgrades have been carried out to improve reliability and usability. The car is equipped with a 123 ignition system and has been converted to a 12 volt electrical system including an alternator. A converter to 6 volt is retained for the starter motor and windscreen wipers. In addition, this classic is fitted with power steering, making the driving experience especially comfortable.
