Subject to an extensive restoration this Austin is one of the best ones we have ever seen in a beautiful grey colour. Pictures and words cannot describe this car it needs to be seen to appreciate it.

This Austin has had a professional respray to a very high standard which looks phenomenal as with the interior.

Between 1964 and 1971 the Austin 1100 or 1300 – in one of their many guises – were Britain’s biggest-selling cars every year, apart from 1967 when the Ford Cortina took the top spot.

Now the car that was so common on our roads is a rare sight, thanks to that enemy of the British car industry at the time – rust.

We take a look at the forgotten car that defined family motoring.

Basil Fawlty gave one a “damn good thrashing” in Fawlty Towers, police used them as Panda cars, and it’s almost certain that if you were around in the 60s and 70s you knew someone who owned one.

We all know that Sir Alec Isogonic designed the iconic Mini – but fewer people know that he was also behind this hugely successful design.

This is a lovely car presented in excellent running order and we would therefore urge interested parties to contact us ASAP to avoid any disappointment.
