1974 Datsun 260Z
This handsome 260Z was repatriated from the dry climes of Arizona in 2018 by a Z collector, who purchased the car from another enthusiast who had already begun a restoration on the car.
As such the car had already been repainted in its original shade of blue, and being an early 260Z with slim bumpers that proceeded the vast later units the current owner felt no need to modify the bodywork. Upon arriving in the UK, thousands were spent tidying up odds and ends to make the car bang on, as well as replacing the less desirable American components such as emission controls with European items.
The flat top carbs have been upgraded to round top variants for improved reliability, and amongst the long list of work done the electrical system was rewired to UK specification. The car is fully UK registered with correct headlights and tail lights and on-the-button.
Now for sale to fund another Z car, this 260Z is a great example of an increasingly desirable model, complete with the must-have rear window louvers.
