Description

Low Owner, Low Mileage, Superb Rare Condition.
This Discovery has only 3 previous keepers. I have owned and cherished the vehicle since 2019 and am only selling now due to downsizing and reducing my collection.
I sold my previous Discovery to buy this one, I had to have it. Metallic Epsom Green and Alpaca Beige Leather Interior, in my opinion the ultimate colour combo for this vehicle. The disco has only covered 99, 272 miles so for one of these is very low mileage.
It drives fantastically and has never let me down. As you can see from pictures, whilst not perfect and obviously having some age related marks the paintwork is generally excellent and presents beautifully, whilst the leather interior is stunning for it's age.
This is the ES Premium model that Land Rover threw everything at just before introducing the Disco 3. If you are in the market for a quality Discovery 2 this is the car to have. The air conditioning functions perfectly, all electrics including windows, mirrors, sun roof, heated seats all work as new. I have updated the stereo for a new Pioneer DAB radio/ CD player, this has an external USB point and is bluetooth so you can safely use your phone hands free through it. I shall include the original Nav/ head unit so if the next owner wishes to return it to original they can. The car has an MOT until January 2023
I feel that given the quality of the car I have priced it fairly and I am sure it is an appreciating asset, especially in this condition. Thank you for reading this ad. As mentioned the paintwork shines beautifully in it's Epsom Green Metallic coat, there are some small age related wear and tear marks when you get very close to the vehicle but overall I would defintely rate the paintwork as excellent for the year.
The lights are in excellent condition and the front fogs were renewed last year as the originals were showing their age a little. Small jobs like this have kept the car looking it's best.
I have shown a picture of the worst of the plastic wheel arch covers, these always wear like this on these vehicles, I'm not sure why but they seem to be a feature. Overall the plastic trim is very good but I wanted to point out that the wheel arch covers do have this wear. If I were keeping the vehicle I would change them or have them plastic painted but I am very fussy and they are definitely are not offensive.
The alloy wheels present very well but the n/ s/ r would benefit from re-lacquering at some time in the future but again you have to get very close to notice and I am being very picky. As you can see from the pictures the wheels set the car off very nicely. The interior of the car is exceptional for its age. The Alpaca Beige leather interior is showing well with minimum wear on the drivers seat. The beige leather is complemented with the premium wood trim to the dashboard and centre console and along with thick black carpet the interior presents very nicely. The 7 seats are a really useful thing and the two rear seats are in near perfect condition.
As somewhat of a perfectionist, I did have a new headlining fitted a couple of years ago as there was a slight droop in the original. As the headlining was out I took the opportunity to have the twin sunroofs taken out, new seals were purchased, the drain channels checked and cleared and then both sunroofs were resealed, they have performed perfectly since and the headlining remains as new.
Overall the interior is amazing in my opinion for an 18 year old car. I have a full MOT print out history of the car dating back to the 1st MOT in March 2007 when the car had a mileage of 24, 692. The MOT's confirm the mileage is correct and goes up steadily about 6, 000 miles a year up to 2019 when I purchased the car with 93, 119 miles. I have covered only 6, 000 miles in the 3 years I have owned the car so a steady 2, 000 miles a year for the last 3 years.
I purchased the car from Nicholas Charles 4x4 Prestige & Performance Cars as the previous owner had traded it in for a Discovery 4. The only work I have had done mechanically is annual servicing and a new battery last year. It runs perfectly and drives very nicely and the TD5 engine is very reliable.
