Purchased from a dealer in Mount Union, Iowa back in early '21 who failed to mention the shot valve gear in the engine - it only ran on 6 cylinders, sometimes 7, only very occasionally on all 8. Long story short and four and a half grand later - the original factory Windsor engine's been overhauled and now I have a car that now runs beautifully. The body and chassis are incredibly clean, tidy and rust / rot free. I hope the pictures show its overall condition. There are colour differences in the paint indicating some remedial work but there's no evidence of crash damage repairs. All the glass is damage free too. It's the same story inside too - very tidy and original vinyl trim. Two ugly dash top cracks spoil things but they are the only signs of damage inside. On-board kit is sparse but includes the essential power brakes and steering and everything bar the ac and the radio work. There's no history from the 'States - there rarely is! Lots of invoices accrued by myself as well as the V5c. I've fitted station wagon rear springs and gas dampers to firm things up a little. Apart from the rebuilt engine, the radiator core and the ac condenser were flow tested and flushed out, new engine mounts fitted, the starter and alternator were overhauled, an expansion tank has been incorporated into the cooling system, a complete new exhaust system from the downpipes back along with a few odds and ends - a steering idler, brake hoses, a service for the FMX transmission, led bulbs, new tyres, a halogen headlight swap, flush and seal the fuel tank and a replacement of the sender unit plus fluids and filters etc. The brakes pull up straight, the trans shifts smooth and positive, operates without issue - motor hooks up instantly and it still takes off even though the engine's currently fitted with a 350 cfm Holley 2-barrel carburettor which is a tad small really but allowed me to 'break in' the engine without fear of over revving it.
