Restored Land Rover Series 1, 1955, 86".
A beautiful, very original 1955 86” Land Rover Series 1 that has been professionally rebuilt and restored over the last 9 months including:
• Fully rebuilt and repainted engine, including all bearing, updating the head for use with unleaded petrol, new pistons, new water pump, petrol pump, carburettor, electrics and more (completed by Kop Hill Classics)
• Rebuilt steering column (completed by ICS)
• Rebuilt axles with new swivels & bearings (completed by LPME)
• New brake master cylinder, metal hose and pads (completed by Kop Hill Classic

The car has an MOT (valid until 29th August 2024), has been serviced in August 2023 and is fully road worthy.
The engine was upgraded to a Series 3 before I bought it, and with the added usability of the engine, I decided to keep this when rebuilding the engine.
The car comes with an original ‘short cab’ that can be used an alternative to the canvas top.
With nearly £15k spent on the car over the nine months, the car is in excellent every-day driving condition, with a prefect engine, great steering, a lovely patina, and a joy to drive.
All receipts are present along with the V5.
Importantly, this is the best colour Series 1 to own!
Price reduced in order to sell. The car has been kept original, using original LR Series 1 parts.
Bodywork, chassis and engine are excellent. The aluminium around the doors and windows has been kept original.
UK-registered cars and motorbikes on Car & Classic are run through an online HPI check. On the HPI report, this vehicle shows no insurance database markers for damage or theft and has no finance owing.
