Land Rover Defender 90 – a genuine factory County Station Wagon ... aka Roger de Fender
Roger was purchased from Taunton Land Rover on 9th December 1994 and has had 4 previous owners, 5 now with me over his 29 years.
Roger has a full and comprehensive service history and has always been very well looked after. There are multiple work receipts and 31 service stamps to demonstrate this, alongside every MOT undertaken since the first one in November 1997. The mileage is correct (and evidenced by the paperwork) and there is clear evidence to support that this is a totally original but always cherished land rover.
I purchased Roger in July 2019 when he had covered 159, 067 miles. I have added a further 10 thousand totally trouble-free miles to this. Roger has never let me down and drives superbly.
The original dealer wallet, owner’s handbook and both original sets of keys are still with the vehicle. The vehicle is totally original with the only exception being the radio.

Additionally, a number of home services were carried out between 2014 and July 2019.
I have the original fully stamped service books (there are 2 due to the number of services) in the original owner’s manual.
MOT’s - I have every MOT certificate since the first test in 1997. The current MOT runs to July 2023.
All major work has been completed when required and Roger retains his original chassis and bulk head – both in excellent condition. Notable major work has included:
- Clutch replaced at 97696 miles, costing £672. 00 (February 2010) and later a heavy-duty replacement installed at 133609 miles, costing £917. 00 (July 2016)
- New rear cross member and tow bar installed (November 2013)
- Immobiliser fitted (June 2016) – both fobs are still with the vehicle.
- Brake discs and pads replaced at 153, 152 miles (May 2018)
- New offside and nearside outriggers fitted (July 2021)
- New fuel tank (July 2021)
- Timing belt replaced previously at 122907 and most recently at 167297 miles (July 2021)

Roger is a totally original, always cherished, factory genuine county station wagon with excellent history and in superb condition. This inside as as good as the outside, with all original fittings (with the exception of the radio) in excellent condition. This has to be one of the most original and genuine 90 station wagons.
