Triumph Bonneville 1977 T140V with matching engine and frame numbers and 5 speed gearbox. I bought this vehicle about two years ago when it returned from the USA where it had spent all it's life. It came with a Nova certificate which I used to complete the UK road registration procedure with DVLA and I have an up to date V5C registration document in my name. The bike also benefits from free road tax and is MOT exempt.
My intention was to build a Rickman based Cafe Racer special using the engine, wheels and forks etc from this bike however in the two years that I have owned the bike it has just sat in a corner of my garage and the Rickman project hasn't even got started. I have now come to the realisation that it may all have been a pipe dream and the project probably never will come to fruition hence the reason for sale.
The engine starts readily and sounds well. The brakes work properly having been serviced up including having new Hydraulic hoses fitted prior to me buying the bike. It would respond well to a good clean and service making it a sensibly priced T140V.
