Triumph Stag. Manual/ Overdrive. 1975. 3 Owners from new.
Amazing condition. Magazine featured. Excellent Hardtop.
We are a Classic car specialist (The Vehicle Restoration Co. Est 1986), we have previously serviced and maintained this car for the last owner. It is in wonderful condition.
Triumph Stag. Registered 4th May 1975. Mimosa yellow.
Ownership & History.
This Triumph Stag has been carefully updated and maintained over many years by the previous 3 owners. It was supplied new to Mrs N Cxxxxx on 4th May 1975 by Stanbourne Motor Co Ltd, it remained in her ownership for 25 years covering approx. 50, 000 miles, the 2nd owner, Mrs J Lxxx from Oxfordshire acquired the car in August 2000, it was in her ownership until 2015 when it was acquired by the currant owner Mr D Sxxxxx from Sussex, in his ownership it was always stored in a heated garage and covered only 861 miles in the 8 years of ownership, in those 8 years we carried out service and maintenance work as required to the car.
Body & paint.
Please look at all the photographs (enlargements), the bodywork is amazing, it is as near to a rust-free original Triumph Stag as you might expect to find anywhere, the gaps are perfect and most of the body is beautifully solid and original, a rare find.
The Hardtop is equally almost rust free. It fits beautifully. There is an electric winch assembly that comes with the hardtop for lifting the Hardtop up into a Garage roof.
The paintwork is beautiful (Mimosa yellow), with only minor flaws to speak of and this should be your impression, the paintwork is long established and polishes up beautifully.
The car leaves a wonderful impression when viewed.
Interior.
The interior appears to be original throughout and is in great condition, in fairness the foam to the sides of the front seats is soft, you should expect that, but putting that aside it is almost without fault with only minor items to mention, the hood appears almost new and of the highest quality, the last owner informed us that in his ownership he had never used it, we were delighted to find a near perfect Mohair Hood when the Hardtop was removed, it is a very good fit and a credit to who ever supplied and fitted it, there are rear seat belts, also there is a Lucas oil pressure/ Water temperature gauge fitted with all the correct fittings in the engine bay, this is very good upgrade.

Mechanics.
The engine is in beautiful condition, starting first time, every time, we serviced the car in 2019 carrying out a full service and have seen the car on other occasions for maintenance etc. It is a strong and well-maintained engine, looking through the history file we can see that the engine was rebuilt at approx. 82, 000 miles in 2007, it is in excellent condition, and this should be your impression. It is a very good driving car.
The Manual/ overdrive gearbox is smooth and easy to use, the overdrive working perfectly.
The exhaust is a recent full replacement in stainless steel (approx. £750)
It comes with a brand-new MOT certificate, pass date 8/ 5/ 23.
General.
There is a very good history file with the car, also a factory handbook and the original stamped factory service book, total mileage is 90, 000 miles and as above the engine was fully rebuilt in 2007 at approx. 82, 000 miles. in July 2005 this Triumph Stag was featured in a 7-page article in the “Classic Car Magazine”, please look at the photographs (enlargements).
