Description
This Spectacular Bristol 405 has been in my ownership for the last 28years and has had loving care and attention spanning that time. The car, still sporting the original Patinated red leather upholstery and the paintwork is very good also it's original colour metalic grey. Recently the car has benefitted from the following -
New clutch
master cylinder
brake pipes
new front brake calipers assembly
brake servo unit
In more recent times the chassis has undergone new outriggers and detail work, to the chassis upsweeps ( rear end). This is generally considered a good idea on the 405 chassis as most find this work beneficial. This Bristol also has the rare distinction of a factory fitted Webasto sunroof.
This detail is mentioned in the Bristol Owners Club literature.
This Bristol 405 was exhibited at the 1955 London motor show.
The car was awarded the Bristol Car Filton Trophy, being placed first in class in the 1969 Concours d' elegance of the Bristol Owners Club.
A second class award was obtained in the 1970 concours d' elegance, BOC
A second place in elite class, concours 1987, BOC
