SLJ Hackett are pleased to offer this 1967 Bristol 410.
Restoration Commenced 2017 - Completed 2024
Purchased from Bristol Cars Ltd as a restoration project the car was stripped down for a comprehensive repair of the bodywork. New steel replacement panels were purchased where they were available but most of the rusted steel underside was cut out and replaced. New aluminium external wheel arches were fabricated and welded in. The car was then repainted to a high standard in dark Lancia Blue.
- The engine was rebuilt and a new Overdrive Gearbox fitted
- Brakes were overhauled, replacing all worn parts as was the suspension and steering.
- The axle was replaced with an overhauled unit.
- The petrol tank was removed, cleaned and repaired and the fuel lines replaced.
- New Edelbrock Carburettor and Air Filter fitted.
- The radiator was cleaned and repaired and all hoses replaced.
- Heater and internal ducting has been overhauled or replaced
- Windscreen wiper motor rewound and the wiper mechanism overhauled
- New Alternator and Starter Motor fitted.
- Electrics were re-wired, New Distributor fitted and Instruments overhauled
- The front screen was replaced and new rubbers fitted to rear screen, door and boot openings. The boot was relined in plywood and covered in black Musa cloth and Wilton carpet to the floor.
- Woodwork to the dashboard and door capping has been repaired and re- lacquered
- The interior has been entirely retrimmed using Oxblood Vaumol Leather and dark Blue Wilton carpet.
- Bumpers and wheel trims have been repaired and re-chromed and the external Stainless Steel brightwork re-polished.
- The Wheels have been stove enamelled and fitted with new Pirelli Tyres.
Subsequently the car has covered 2200 miles and received the tuning and adjustments necessary after a complete rebuild.
In short this Bristol 410 has been comprehensively restored and offers an opportunity of ownership at considerably less than the actual cost.
