B45 VYL 1984 Mercedes 280SL
1984 Mercedes 280SL in overall excellent condition, covering 114, 000 miles the car comes complete with original matching hardtop and an extensive history file including all of the original hand books and service documents. I’ve owned this car for just over 3 years and have routinely serviced it every 12 months in the very little mileage that it has covered with myself. I have all of the invoices of all work carried out in my ownership which includes a major service when I first purchased the car, reconditioning of the fuel system including new fuel pump and custom-made fuel lines and much more. It has been dry stored for the whole of my ownership and for the most of it’s recent life according to the previous owner.
The soft top roof is in fantastic condition with no cracks in the plastic windows, the interior is presented in excellent condition there is splits or tears or wear to the fabric and all the wood trim is in great shape, this includes the original floor mats. Everything works as it should I’ve never had any issues.
Before my ownership the car went through quite an extensive restoration including a full body respray in the original Light Ivory. The car starts on the button and drives very smoothly benefiting from improved handling from wider tyres and Monroe shock absorbers. The automatic transmission has been fully serviced and operates smoothly with no issues. The restoration included a full re-chroming and all new window and door rubber seals. A full list of work carried out to the vehicle during its renovation is listed below:
