A fantastic original out of the first series. The Mercedes 280 SL was first registered to the company Koch Chemie on 17. 03. 1977. The company Koch Chemie became known for its exceptional products for preparation and preservation in the automotive industry. They immediately gave the new Mercedes a special treatment in which the cavities were treated with liquid wax. This explains, why the car still looks like it just rolled out of the factory, today.
Probably this car served only for demonstration purposes, because shortly after the treatment, the company sold the car to Mr. G, who in turn gave it to his wife. The car remained in the G family for over 40 years. It was used regularly, but only for short trips. This explains the low mileage of 41400.
The car has been ice-blasted, resealed and given a fresh inspection by us. The 107 series is becoming increasingly popular and especially low mileage models become hard to find. In complete original condition they are almost impossible to get - a gem for a real collector.
