Description
A beautiful 1969 650 Trophy TR6C in desert racer spec (folding foot rests, upswept exhaust, bash plate)
Matching numbers. USA import in the late 1980’s with one Gentleman collector owner until late 2022. Partial restoration including engine overhaul and other works by Hughie Hancox (the Triumph Legend). Also complete with USA title document, some receipts, a few old MOT’s, current V5, Triumph owners club dating letter and Hughie Hancox letters detailing restoration works. Workshop manual and original handle bars.
The 1969 model is considered to be the ultimate year for these bikes as it features the upgraded front brake design, camshafts are nitrated to reduce wear and a balance pipe is added to the exhaust headers this is on top of the benefits of the 1968 models two way damping, stronger swing arm and Amal concentric carb. The 1970 models become the less desirable oil in frame arrangement.
The bike is in excellent original condition with only some deterioration of the chrome on the rims. The bike has been part of a collection since the late 80's and seldom used, my intentions of use have not been realised and I would like to pass the bike to an owner who will use it as it should be. Viewing welcomed.
