Beschreibung
I have owned this Stag mark 2 for almost three years and am sadly selling due to medical reasons. I searched hard to find a Stag that actually lived up to its glowing description and fortunately I found this beauty. In the stunning combination of Tahiti blue with beige interior it certainly is a head turner. It had undergone comprehensive refurbishment in recent years. Over £10, 800 was spent by the previous owner with Classics of Alton Hampshire, recognized Stag specialists to make further improvements to an already high specification car.
Needless to say it comes with a comprehensive and fully documented history file to reflect the refurbishment that has taken place over the years to create this lovely example.
Below are just some of the improvements, but do feel free to contact me to ask for a full list:
- Stagweber alloy header tank along with electric cooling fan with adjustable thermostat which ensures the temperature remains below halfway on the temperature gauge whatever the ambient temperature outside.
- electronic ignition
- refurbished alloy wheels with locking wheel nuts
- stainless steel exhaust system
- stainless steel airbox-to-radiator vent
- windbreaker/ turbulence screen
- tonneau cover
- triumph tread plates
- hi torque starter motor
- German timing chains and tensioners (now 4000 miles ago)
- retro look radio/ CD/ MP3 with RDS receiver, USB interface, SD Interface and a phone charger / Aux port
- wood trimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel, but the original Stag steering wheel is included
- fully refurbished interior with re-foamed seats, new wools carpets, new door panels, door trims etc.
- recently replaced Mohair soft top with zip open rear screen in excellent condition
The power steering is perfect, the electric windows and quarter lights operate as expected and the clock has been replaced. Recently a new windscreen wiper motor has been installed. Everything works as it should.
The 3. 0L factory V8 engine starts on the button, runs smoothly and quietly. The car is a pleasure to drive assisted by the smooth and seamless gear changes due to the refurbished 3 speed Auto-gearbox.
The underside of the Stag is structurally sound and in very good condition.
The paintwork has a deep gloss shine and is still in good order considering that it had a body restoration and repaint by EJ Ward Ltd some time ago. The hard top is in good condition for its age, although the interior lining is starting to show some minor signs of aging. When not in use it sits on its dedicated wheeled stand that is included in this sale.
The car comes with two sets of keys. Only 7 owners in 46 years and 85000 documented miles. Kept garaged and under a soft car cover.(not included in this sale).
Overall this is a fabulous classic roadster that is ready to be driven away and enjoyed.
If you are a serious buyer and think this is the car for you, then please do not hesitate to contact me for further information.
The price of the Stag is £21, 500 which more than fairly reflects the quality of this car.
