The time has come to let this one go, originally a Laser, now 1. 6S replica. The 1. 6S was always my life goal, odd I know. But after owning a 2. 8i , 3. 0S and many other Capris over the years I had to own the car that I coveted the most, my old school teachers 1. 6S.
I've fitted a 270 piper cam, electronic ignition, a 32/ 36 Weber carb, Sportex exhaust and manifold, new petrol tank, strobe interior, new brakes.
It flies for a 1. 6, it has had welding underneath in the distant past but it was done to a high standard. Its a lovely straight shell, a car you can jump into and enjoy straight away.
I can deliver for £1. 50 per mile.
New car forces the sale of this piece of my motoring history, I'm strictly following the 1 out 1 in policy. I have far too many old cars.
I've had this for 6 years and I'd drive it anywhere.
It looks amazing in the photos, in reality, it's a very useable car, very presentable but not perfect, nicely patinated is how I'd describe it.
