Description
This is immaculate. Here offered for sale is a superbly maintained, museum worthy 1988 Porsche 944 Lux 2. 5 Manual with a low mileage of just 63k.
This example has clearly been lovingly kept and maintained by each of its 6 owners.
The car comes with the best provenance I’ve ever had my hands on. She has the Porsche compressor kit (with all the parts!) magazines from the Porsche owners club, a Porsche certificate of authenticity, original book packs and service book, Porsche club stickers, all the tax discs have been kept and are displayed in a folder, even old blue V5s have been kept, the removable roof vinyl cover is present along with toolkit, unused spare and every invoice dating back to new. It’s very very impressive.
For the last 5/ 6 years this 944 has been professionally stored in a controlled environment as part of a collection hence the lack of MOT data for this period. She had only covered circa 600 miles between the MOTs. Because of this this 944 ideally needed a good going through to make sure she’s fighting fit.
The list of works I’ve had carried out:
Full service inc spark plugs
Rotor arm and distributor cap replaced
New cambelt, balance shaft pulleys, and new poly V belt
Fuel filter and fuel pump
New Bosch battery
Front discs and pads
Rear pads
Strip, vapour blast, rebuild and paint callipers all round
Brake pipes NSF and OSR
wiper/ washer overhaul including replaced wiper motor, wiper blades, washer keys stripped and cleaned with new valves
12 months MOT with no advisories
And various other bits and bobs.
Everything operates as it should from its original radio to the sunroof. I can’t report on anything that doesn’t work!
The interior seriously looks untouched with no tears, scuffs or stains. Even the cassette organiser isn’t broken.
No cracks in the dash.
The body work is absolutely sublime with no corrosion, scuffs or large scratches. Just look at the wheel linings. The pictures speak for themselves really.
Under the bonnet is clean and tidy and in original finish with no oil leaks. The bonnet foam is also intact and hasn’t disintegrated.
And believe it or not, this is an un restored example. She has been kept this tidy for the 35 years of her life.
