Description

1967 Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior.

Very rare first series low arch / flat dash matching numbers car in concours condition. Highly desirable and increasingly rare in any condition.

According to the Centro Documentazione Alfa Romeo, chassis AR1209429, was signed off on July 11th, 1967 and delivered on the 13th of the same month to the French market in Paris. The car spent all its life in France, largely in the warm climate of Nice.

Body shell completely restored by a top French specialist using a complete suite of Alfaholics supplied premium quality panels, KTL coated to prevent corrosion and painted inside, outside and on the underside to concours standard in it’s factory original 013 Biancospino. The shut lines and panel gaps as you can see in the photographs are outstanding- a testament to the highly skilled artisans who carried out the restoration.

Original matching numbers 530 engine rebuilt by Damiano Quartieri from 4TempiRS in Venice, Italy- one of the best and well-known workshops for Ferrari and Alfa Romeo.

The original factory crossover air filter is included and in perfect condition and can be swapped over in just 20 minutes. The engine has just had its running in service with fresh Millers Oil

Gearbox and axle fully rebuilt using premium quality Alfaholics supplied bearings and upgraded Quaife synchros.

REU496E has covered a mere 950km on bone dry roads since restoration including an effortless 500km post restoration return from France in 2022 and is now showing just over 47, 200km on its original Jaeger speedometer.

This is as close as you can get to a brand new Alfa Romeo Giulia GT and drives as such. The car is tight, surefooted and rattle free unlike many tired examples that have received a very nice coat of paint but little more. The rev-happy 1300 engine is an absolute joy to use and the combination of a close ratio five speed gearbox, softly sprung well damped coil spring suspension and all round disc brakes in a beautiful lightweight body makes for a very enjoyable cross country sports car.

The tasteful upgrades from Alfaholics have certainly enhanced the driving experience and performance, however the car can be easily returned to standard factory specifications in an afternoon for show use if required.

If you are really serious about your Alfas, and want the very best, this is the one. Your search is over.

Car is located in Northumberland and within 15 minutes of an airport, ferry and main east coat rail line, and any inspection is welcome. Very reluctant sale
