Land Rover Series 2a (1966) ? Modified 200tdi
This truck was stripped down to the chassis and rebuilt and painted in 2020 and has only driven 500 miles since.. Photo record available. It has had extensive works carried out. As it was utilised as a lead vehicle for my son?s wedding it has not been run off-road since works were completed .
I purchased the vehicle with the 200tdi engine, which was originally mated to a series gearbox. This has been replaced with an LT77 gearbox and LT230 transfer box and defender bell housing.
The gearbox and transfer box have been fully rebuilt and refurbished by Beaumonts of Halifax. They fitted it with the Ashcrofts LT230 part time selector kit.

All wiring replaced and loom tape wrapped. All connectors are Deutch style water proof plugs.
Racewire bulkhead wiring connector
New Marine type fuse box installed
Exmoor door cards
VDO oil pressure and boost gauge
Sound deadening fitted to bulkhead/ front doors/ roof lining/ bonnet and rear tub floor
16? Modular steel rims fitted with mud terrain tyres
New LED headlights/ sidelights/ indicators/ brake lights
New replacement fuel tank
Black Raptor paint to underside and inside of rear tub. Inner front wings and rear arches. Inside seat box
New X-brake fitted
Freewheeling front hubs
New black vinyl cubby box with cup holders. In place of front middle seat.
3 point front seat belts ? driver and front passenger seats
Vehicle fully repainted main body Mid bronze green, sides/ roof Limestone.
Full change of oils June 2023. (Engine/ Gearbox/ transfer box and both Diffs). Less than 30 miles driven since.
I will be including in the sale assorted spares including spare front door skins and a T7 Designs Race Heater(water fed) with air piping.
This vehicle is ready to go for summer. The engine and gearbox combination allow it to keep up with the traffic on the motorway. Great drive and a lot of fun.
Works to do. X-brake needs full adjustment. Horn needs installingThis vehicle has been modified to be a useable classic that can keep up with today?s traffic but still be plenty of fun off road.
