Beschreibung
This Jaguar Series III 2+2 V12 E-Type is a genuine UK car registered in 1972. It is registered with Jaguar Heritage.
The car was purchased in the UK and very soon after was taken to South Africa when the owners emigrated. It was there until the late 80’s and returned to the UK.
From it returning to me buying this in Sept 2020, it covered less than 80 miles, we assume being driven to get it’s annual MOT and back again. It has a genuine 22800 miles which can be verified by past MOT certificates.
The car has always been either in a dry climate or dry stored.
I started to restore the vehicle after purchase and have fully rebuilt the Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) including new shock absorbers, brake disks, callipers, pads, seals, many of the components were cleaned and powder coated.
I debated whether to repair rust damage on the wings and lower valance but decided to replace the full bonnet assemble with a genuine jaguar replacement.
The car has it’s original steel wheels but is fitted with a brand new set of wire wheels.
Many other items have been replaced like door seals, fuel sender, water pump conversion, headlamps, etc.
In total over £30000 has been spent on getting this car back to pristine condition.
I now, with great regret, need to sell this and other vehicles as deteriorating health due to chemotherapy and neuropathy limits what I am able to do.
The asking price reflects less than I have spent on the car and by no means accounts for the endless hours spent on the vehicle. The E-Type Jaguar is a car that I have always wanted and when I got the chance of this one, I jumped at it, much to disapproval of my wife. The disapproval has quickly changed to a love for this car. Since restoring the vehicle I have only managed to do a few hundred miles as I have not had the time or health to use it.
On the occasions I have driven it, the car just puts a smile on my face and often gets admiring glances and comments wherever it goes.
I deeply regret having to sell my Jaguar but I know that I will not be able to keep on my workshop and will have nowhere to keep my car.
