Descrizione
A charming old classic and a genuine find, having been stored for over 20 years. 4. 0 litre petrol engine with 4 speed manual gearbox.
Only 4 former keepers.
Now a new battery has been fitted and the carburettor cleaned, the car starts and drives. With storage dust washed off, it shows a very presentable two tone paint scheme and bodywork.
It would need to be trailered away as the brakes will need freeing off and a full check of the engine and running gear.
The former owner drove it around 50 miles to large dry garage where it remained for two decades and started work on the interior, which he was unable to complete. There are a selection of new fabric materials/ coverings, plus board templates for the door cards. A rear bumper was in the car but may need a change of fixing brackets to make it fit.
The chassis and vehicle structure is very solid and this old lady has a good basis to bring her back to her prime.
There are boxes of spares parts and fitting which were in the boot.
The original number plate has been removed and DVLA have issued an age related registration (three letters and three numbers). A period fitted build plate was located in the vehicle and it shows this Sheerline was either coach built or maintained by G&C Motor Garages Ltd, Canning Road, Wealdstone, Harrow.
This model has a factory sunroof, period radio and even the cranking handle (if ever needed).
ULEZ free, Road Fund Licence free and MOT free with the ability for cheap historic car insurance.
This condition of this Sheerline's chassis, body and engine has the potential to be used as a daily driver.
Any inspection is invited.
