A rare Peugeot 106 XSi in Diablo Red. 1994 model year but registered in January 1995. Truly amazing condition throughout with some very minor imperfections that could be easily rectified if you wanted a concourse type car. Has won a couple of Club Peugeot Sport awards and been on their stand at the national classic car show at the NEC and the 'Show and Shine' award.
This rare car comes with a good history which confirms the mileage and lots of receipts for maintenance carried out through its lifetime. Supplied by Thorpes of Stratford upon Avon to Mrs Price who owned the car until 1998 when ownership transferred to Mr Edgar of Bicester who owned the car until the 2001. The third owner kept the car until 2015 and the car was off the road and dry stored for 9 years. The fourth owner bought the car and carried out a restoration (the paint on the roof/ bonnet and bootlid had lacquer peel so the car was repainted). He owned the car until I purchased the car from him in 2021. The V5 is present and in my name and she drives really well and is great fun! Has electric windows and manual winding sunroof. The interior is unmarked and has fitted mats to protect the carpets (even in the boot space). The car has central locking but the remote element has stopped working - I did change the battery but it made no difference.
Presented in the original Diablo Red with excellent refurbished alloy wheels (and new tyres this year) the car really does need to be seen to be believed. A real head turner. For anyone with any knowledge of these cars, this one is especially rare as the 1. 6i engine was only in the mark one for a very limited time as the GTi replaced it in the mark 2 line up - the website howmanyleft. co. uk says there are only 6 95 XSi's on the road. There are a couple of jobs I would be doing if I keep hold of the car - window rubbers on front doors need replacing (they function and keep the car dry but they are bubbling and have perished in part) and the gaitor around the gear stick drops down and needs a ring to hold it in place. The MOT in July this year said that the cover on the offside front CV joint needs replacing.
This is a very reluctant sale owing to a change of my personal circumstances meaning I need to downsize my fleet. If I do not get what I believe it to be worth I shall keep it and pay for a years storage and see where I am in a year - so not in the least desperate to sell - but if a keen enthusiast who will care for the car is looking to purchase - drop me a line.

Following the deletion of the 205GTi from the model line in 1993; Peugeot uprated the XSi's engine to the 1. 6 to make it their hot hatch of the moment. In the mark 2 line up, they brought in the 106 GTi and so the 1. 6 XSi was only in production for a very limited time.
The previous owner to me was a real enthusiast who won several awards for the overall presentation of the car. There is no way you would ever believe that the car has covered the miles it has; the body work and underside are in excellent order and the interior is still almost perfect. It really does need to be seen to be appreciated.
I fell in love with the car when I saw it at the Peugeot Club Sport meeting at Shelsley Walsh a few years ago and when the previous owner advertised it for sale I was straight in touch to purchase the car and I have never regretted it. When you look at values of 205 GTI's in this order; the price is really appealing and I believe will only appreciate!
