Here is a piece of history, a Classic White Austin Mini 1000, purchased in October 2012, used locally for a couple of years and then restored to its present condition.
The extensive overhaul has included, replacement wings, inner and outer sills, floor panels and a full respray in Old English white with a black roof. The interior has been refurbished to include re-upholstered full leather seats, a new head lining, full dash refit to include WATER AND OIL DUAL SMITHS GAUGE IN MAGNOLIA, COOPER S SPEEDO 130 MPH - MAGNOLIA, TIME CLOCK GAUGE IN MAGNOLIA and not fitted but included a TACHOMETER GAUGE 0-10 SMITHS IN MAGNOLIA. Fitted new replacement front seat belts, carpets, door panels along with a new Alloy Door Handle Set. All door and window seals have been replaced and a new boot liner has been fitted.
Mechanically the vehicle is sound and drives well. We have upgraded and fitted new shocks to improve the ride. Fitted a replacement radiator, new steel fan (to improve cooling) alternator, starter motor, clutch cylinder and mechanism along with many other electrical parts.
The V5C shows the vehicle being registered as a Historic Vehicle and Tax Exempt. The Insurance premium is £130 per year.
We have been driving the car locally a couple of times a week as it stood for a while and she both handles and drives very well.
This Mini is a BARGAIN at the price and we will close the sale on the 10th December 2023 should no acceptable offers be received. This car is a fine example of a forty three year old classic, drives and runs very well whilst keeping that classic car feel, style and looks. The upgraded suspension gives it a much smoother drive than when it was new.
It has had six owners from new and the last three have all kept fairly good records so we have transactional history that gives evidence of some of the works that have been done since @2010.
