The Riley is an older restoration which was carried out around 2015. The car has had welding in the past and just recently so please don?t expect a car that has never seen a welding torch! That said the Elf is a nice sound example that should not require any structural repairs for many years, the underside has been sealed with Shultz which will keep the rust at bay, the all important rear subframe is in good sound condition.
The Elf runs and drives very well, you will probably know that the Elf is a posh Mini so drives exactly the same and is great fun.
You can jump in the car and drive it home if you so wish.
The interior is in very good condition as can be seen from the pictures. A new set of carpets have just been fitted, the seats, door cards, headlong etc are all in good condition, the dials and gauges all work, the heater works well?. for a Mini heater!
The car has a folder of previous Mot certificates and invoices for previous work carried out and the sales invoice to the previous owner from a Mini dealer for £9200!!

The car is in very good condition and drives very well, it is not a concours car nor is it priced as such but it does represent good value for money and can be used and enjoyed straight away. It will of course require ongoing servicing and maintenance just as all vehicles do but it?s simple technology, easy to work on and being Mini based parts are easy to obtain and inexpensive. The Elf has come from a deceased estate.
The last owner sadly passed away earlier this year after not owning the car for very long.
I bought the car from the owners brother who was his executor and I have gently recommissioned the car, it hasn?t needed a great deal to be honest, I had some welding work carried out to the passenger floor and have gone through the mechanical side of things preparing the car for the Mot test which it passed without any issues, I have replaced the rubber fuel lines with new ethanol proof ones and replaced the seized heater valve with a new one to get the heater working correctly! I have also replaced the carpets as the originals were past their best
