Beschreibung
2011 Saab 95 2. 0-litre Turbo4 Automatic finished in Fjord Blue with contrasting Parchment leather Sports interior. I am the 4th owner, and this car comes with 12 months MOT (27th Nov 2024), full Saab Main dealer or Saab specialist service history, two keys and has covered 159, 300 miles.
Previous to my purchase it was clear this Saab had been looked after – and indeed its maintenance records was one of the reasons I bought it – but I wouldn’t say it had led a ‘pampered’ life. And so not long after I bought it, I spent a week detailing it to bring it up to my standards where I’d be happy to show it at events etc. After some use to sense check it was a ‘good one’ I also gave the car a service to ensure it would continue being reliable.
And now, as you can see from the pictures it is both very presentable inside and out. That said, one of the main reasons this car is £4, 750 not £7, 750 is because of the bodywork condition. Every corner or arch area has a scuff of some sort, the rear bumper has a small crack in it and the front grille has slight damage and doesn’t sit perfectly in place along with the N/ S headlight trim not sitting flush as it should. It was also clear when detailing the car the rear N/ S quarter and passenger door have had some paint during its life, and although it is a good colour match and paint quality it was noticeable up close. I’m confident that a smart repairer would solve many of this car’s cosmetic challenges.
Inside however, you wouldn’t guess this car has done near 160, 000 miles. Unlike many 95s the leather isn’t tired at all and has cleaned up beautifully with the bolsters showing very little signs of wear. I suspect part of the reason for this is although this car has high miles, 95, 000 of them were before it was four years old spread over long journeys rather than short ones. Some buttons have wear – a common fault – but they’re not as bad as some and limited to just the volume, fan speed and parking sensor buttons.
The engine always starts first time and is smooth and quiet at idle, as well as under load. On the move the six-speed automatic gearbox shifts smoothly. The car has always been serviced and looked after by Saab main dealers or Saab specialists, with the one exception of the servicing work I completed myself earlier this year, and has a long list of work that has been done over the years with some sensible levels of spend. As you can see the car has had regular attention, plenty of oil changes, benefits from relatively new and unworn tyres (Goodyear Eagle F1s) and replacement/ fixes for some of the common 95 faults (such as steering lock malfunction and fitment of LED lightbar fan kit)
In summary, though it’s a great car and in my opinion a huge amount of car (and not just because at 5, 008mm long these Saabs are the same size as a Mercedes S-Class of that era) for the money. It works reliably, is enjoyable to drive, is very well-equipped, looks great, is comfortable and spacious and presents well for its age.
