Volvo 850 T5 Auto
30 year old survivor in great overall condition
Has moon-distance mileage but still pulls very strongly and sounds fantastic. Interior is all there, and looks pretty good. Driver seat leather is cracking and the heated function isn’t working.
Good parts-
Only needed one tiny bit of welding for last MOT
The best colour in my opinion
The best wheels
Recent brakes, battery and front tyres
Goes like stink
Very very comfortable
Very very cool
Done nearly 5, 000 miles in it since May with no hitches, including St Ives and back from South Wales
MOT until September. Full V5 in my name
Bad parts-
Rust on drivers wing (which came as standard)
Lambda light comes on intermittently since I changed air filter (no difference in running)
Upshift light sometimes comes on in wet weather (bad connection?)
Lacquer peel on spoiler/ mirrors
Passenger side headlamp wiper is in boot
Passenger side light is intermittent
Would benefit from good clean underneath and Dinitrol/ Waxoyl
There might be other things, but nothing awful springs to mind- it’s been more reliable than in-laws Yaris
Don’t really want to sell, but bought a Cinquecento Sporting by mistake. And then a Panda 100HP.
