For sale is a FIA Shelby Cobra Project.
As visible in the pictures the car had a fire and now needs full rebuild.
We alredy took out the engine and dismantled it. The Weber carburettors melted in the fire so new ones will be needed. In the inside the engine is quite solid. Crank and camshaft are in good condition, as the conrods. The block needs to be rebored, as water went into the combustion chamber. The heads will also need rebuild, but are in a good condition. Sadly the cobra carried willwood brakes, so if someone wants to built up a FIA spec Cobra, correct Girling brakes will be needed. The major frame seems to be in a quite good condition, but will need checking. The subframe will need replacement, as the body.
There is a company in UK, which can do all needed work for little money ( a cost estimate was alredy been done in July 2023)
The interesting thing is that the cobra was registred in Luxemburg as a 1965 Shelby Cobra. So a registration in EU is NO PROBLEM.
