Toyota Celica GT-Four (ST-205) 1996 white, manual.
The ST205 was the final and most powerful road going version of Toyota’s legendary rally-bred and championship-winning Celica GT-Four model.
This unmodified UK example is complete and in original specification, it has been driven daily, and much-loved by the current lady owner, for the past 23 years.
It features four-wheel drive with manual transmission, powered by a DOHC, 16 valve 2 litre turbo engine. With nearly 240bhp and Toyota's exemplary rally engineering, this was, and still is, a very special, quick car.
It has a continuous service history and the current MOT expires in December 2024. These cars were built to be tough, and this example still drives extremely well.
The car does have cosmetic challenges (seats mainly), but there is nothing that can't be addressed by someone with commitment, care and a decent set of spanners.
This Celica GT-Four is a rare find. As a homologation special, Toyota only imported 300 or so of this car into the UK when it was new. Today there are just 141 left. So, this is a fabulous opportunity to own a very rare legend indeed.
The car has completed 207K miles and this is reflected in the price, but as such it represents a unique chance to acquire a much sought-after and appreciating modern classic, at a value-for-money price.
The Celica GT-Four was the GR Yaris of the 1990's. It's both fun to drive and eminently collectable; it's the car for car-people that really know cars.
