Description

1954 Chevrolet 210 4 door sedan (Bermuda Green)
A lovely genuine car still running a 235ci straight six and 6v system. Very solid throughout. Runs drives and stops as it should. 3 on the tree column change. Everything works on the car including the wipers and radio.
This time warp 1954 Chevy was Built in Kansas City and sold to a farmer in Marion Kansas, later being Imported to the U. K. I am the 3rd U. K owner. The car has only 46K original miles, backed up with some documentation and based on the way it drives and handles I believe this to be correct. It stood for many years in a barn In Kansas before needing major engine work to put it back on the road.
The Interior is completely original, and the previous owner confirms he removed the plastic seat covers which were deteriorating to reveal almost new looking seats. The seats do have a couple of stains and marks. The original headliner is good but a couple of water stains (no rips or tears). The door all shut perfectly indicating it has never been messed with. The car still has its original Bermuda Green paint and some patina. All the chrome and stainless steel is original and in good condition. The rear bumper has lost some chrome due to the exhaust fumes. The car even has its original carpet protected by a newer insert installed by the previous owner.
The wheels have original paint and show a factory hand painted white line around the rim (seen on the spare wheel also).
The body has plenty of small dings, scrapes, and imperfections which as one might expect for an unrestored car of this age, but no rust or rot. It could be the perfect car to take to the next level (new paint job), though personally I would leave as is as its only original once!
Glass is all good shape and the windscreen may have been replaced at some point as the car comes with a used front windscreen in decent shape. Underneath is solid and undersealed.
Mechanically its an Inline 6 (the only Chevy option in 1954) with a manual 3 on the tree transmission, runs and drives perfectly and this car could be driven anywhere. Previous owner installed a removable tow bar with single electrics which is included in the sale. Has a newer stainless-steel exhaust. 12v socket for charging phones / Sat nav etc. Had been used as a wedding car prior to me car. All gauges and locks work
If you are looking for a stock original 54 Chevy, they do not come any more original than this. It has plenty of minor imperfections mentioned above which are reflected in the advertised price. It is just a very honest, unmolested classic. More pictures and video clips available on request. The car is located near Castle Douglas. On sale on behalf of my son.
