Daimler Special Sports DB 18 1952 Barker Bodied Convertible . Concealed Electric POWER STEERING, Preselector gearbox with Overdrive. In Superb Condition. Subject to Comprehensive Nut and Bolt Restoration 7 years ago, by Mechanical Engineer , with large photographic File. Body removed from Chassis which was stripped, sand blasted and powder coated in black. Body overhauled and resprayed in Blue and Grey two tone . Interior blue leather renewed with matching carpets, Walnut Dashboard repolished and instruments overhauled. New Grey hood fitted with matching wool lining. Engine totally reconditioned including rebore with new pistons , crank reground with new
bearings ( machining by Coventry boring ), valves, timing chain renewed etc. All ancillaries incluing oil pump , carburettors, starter, dynamo, distributor, water pump , fuel pumps etc replaced or reconditioned. Car runs beautifully with extremely quiet engine . Owned by retired Motor Technician and DLOC member. Huge History Files with bills photos, documents etc including old beige Log Book . It was restored by a DLOC member who is a Mechanical engineer.
