1967 Volvo amazon estate. Left hand drive.
Lovely Volvo 221 estate car. Single carb B18 engine, non overdrive gearbox.
Originally from Holland, now registered in the UK. Tax and Mot exempt( although it does have a current MOT).
The car is in good condition and runs really well. It has recently had 2 new front tyres with the tracking done at the same time, oil and filter change, rear axle seal, new brake servo, new silencer. The carburettor was replaced a couple of years ago.
It runs really well for such an old car. The clutch is good and there is no whining from the gearbox or rear axle.
The brakes have recently been overhauled with new flexis pipes and servo.
The interior is nice and original, there are a couple of small tears in the rear headlining as you can see in the photo. Everything works, including the original Volvo radio and the car is ready to drive away.
The bodywork is generally very good apart from a small dent in the drivers door and a little scab on rear drivers side where the chrome strip meets the body.
The underneath is very solid. It has had some welding in its life but it has been done to a good standard and it does not require any welding.
To sum up: a great usable amazon, not perfect by any means, some of the rubbers are showing their age and the engine bay could do with detailing.
Very reliable old car, just nice like it is.
