Reluctantly for sale is my Triumph Spitfire IV. First registered on 1/ 11/ 1971 with seven former keepers. Not bad for a 53 year old lady!
The car was subject to a comprehensive restoration in 2003 by Anderson Restorations in Tockwith. This included blast cleaning the car and replacing any panels and chassis parts with new that were required. The car was then painted in the wonderful sapphire blue, rather than the original white.
Looking through the invoices from Rimmer's it seems that anything that could be replaced was replaced. The car was then polybushed all round with the addition of Spax adjustable shocks.
At the same time the engine was stripped and rebuilt. Big and main bearings were replaced +10 oversize, with standard piston rings. The cam was replaced with a Kent TH2 Fast Road (37/ 73 73/ 37, . 390 lift, 290° duration, full lift at 108°). The carbs were rebuilt, breathing through K&N filters with AAU (richer) needles, tubular stainless exhaust manifold into the classic Spitfire twin back box system.
The interior was re-trimmed to the same standard as the rest of the car, with new carpets, vinyl panels, and reupholstered seats.
Recently I have replaced the radiator and thermostat, windscreen wiper motor, anti roll bar links and the nearside rear half shaft, wheel bearing, trunion etc have been rebuilt. At the end of last year a recondtioned gearbox and overdrive was fitted, along with a new three piece clutch. The car had a grease service at the local garage at the the start of May.
Included but not pictured is a mohair tonneau cover, a Rimmer Bros rollbar (removed for leg room), and a good condition rear chrome bumper.

Current reading is 25199. I've driven her more in the last twelve months than the last twenty years combined.
Being 53 years old and twenty years out of its restoration, there are a few age related marks on the body, none of which detract from the overall finish.
Now with 12 months MOT. Sailed through apart from the handbrake. While it is technically exempt, I believe it's worthwhile keeping up with. The DVLA site has lost the MOT history between 2018 and now, but I have paper copies in the history file.
