This is the ‘AAK’ Body type series, probably regarded as the rarest of the Austin Seven Tourers.
This is a rather special motor car with many interesting and useful modifications. It runs and drives superbly.
The 750cc engine has been totally rebuilt to a very high standard, with Race Pistons; Larger Tulip type Exhaust Valves; re-profiled Cam Followers; Uprated Oil Pump; Larger Oil Sump; New Oil Filter; Lightened Flywheel.
The Cast iron Exhaust Manifold has been replaced with a hand fabricated modified fast-flowing steel 4 into 1 system, running into a Stainless Steel exhaust system.
Fitted with a 1 ½” Downdraught SU Carburettor.
Fitted with an Alternator running a 12 volt electrical system; with an Electronic Ignition system; together with a ‘009’ Bosch Distributor.
Fitted with an ‘Andrew Bird’ Close Ratio Gearbox; and an ‘Andrew Bird’ modified Rear Axle.
Bowden Cable Braking System with Cast Iron Brake Drums.
All of the bodywork is in very good condition.
The Hood is in very good order and is complete with all its Side-Screens and storage cover.
Fitted with Semaphores and Flashing Indicators. Also has its original Rist Horn.
The many modifications and improvements make this a truly outstanding motor car which will keep up with modern day traffic (well almost!!!)
This lovely motor car has been owned by us for almost 30 years but time and too many cars dictate that it must now go to someone who will make greater use of it.
Call only from 12 noon to 8pm any day.
