MOT has expired so the car will need to be taken away on a trailer/ car carrier.
The car comes with 3 keys (2 red keys and one brown master key), the Phase 3 GTV owner manual, and a service history book in an original black Alfa Romeo zipped folder.
The service history book states that a new clutch was fitted in January 2017 at 89, 762 miles. It has a stamped service history up to 96, 567 miles.
The dashboard has no warning lights when the ignition is turned on or when the engine is running. The ASR system warning light switches off within the permitted amount of time once the engine has been started (i. e. no fault is indicated for the ASR system).
The car has always started first time while I have had it (since July 2023). It has never shown any faults on the dashboard while I have had it. It has never broken down while I have had it.
The brake discs are a bit rusty because the car hasn't been driven for a month. Taking the car for a run should clear most of the rust from the brake disc surfaces.
The car has an Alpine UTE-204DAB DAB+ stereo head unit fitted with a DAB aerial on the nearside small window next to the passenger door window.
'In Phase' brand speakers are fitted in the doors and on the parcel shelf.
Alfa Romeo specialist Alfaworkshop in Royston fitted the following items on 23rd November 2023:
Cam belt kit (Genuine Alfa Romeo)
Rocker cover seal
4x spark plug seals (for the rocker cover)
Balancer belt kit (Dayco)
Variator rebuilt using rebuild kit
Water pump (Genuine Alfa Romeo)
Engine coolant (Petronas Paraflu Up)
Power steering fluid (Petronas GI/ A)
Auxiliary belt (Genuine Alfa Romeo)
Engine air filter (Genuine Alfa Romeo)
Engine oil change (Petronas Selenia 10W-40)
Engine oil filter change (Genuine Alfa Romeo oil filter and genuine Alfa Romeo sump washer)
New gearbox oil (Comma)
I installed a brand new Lucas 'Supreme' 78Ah battery on the car on 22nd July 2023.
New correct format number plates were fitted on 23rd August 2023.
Philips Extremevision 150% HB3 dipped headlight bulbs were fitted in November 2023.
I installed brand new gas struts for the boot lid in March 2024.
I installed a new door seal holder for the driver's door in April 2024.
Philips Extremevision 150% W5W bulbs were fitted to the third brake light and the rear number plate illumination lights in April 2024.
The previous owner fitted Pirelli P7 tyres to the car and a new radiator (approximately 9, 500 miles ago).
'Has there ever been any major structural issues which needed work?'
Not to the best of my knowledge but I cannot confirm it because I don't have any information for the previous ownership periods. Carandclassic doesn't give a 'Don't know' option so I clicked on 'No' to publish the advertisement.
The paintwork has some stone chips and lacquer scratches.
The front and rear bumpers have scuffs and scratches (not caused by me).
The nearside rear wing has a shallow dent (it can hopefully be seen in the photographs. The passenger door also has a dent near to where the rear wing dent is.
The rear window de-mister doesn't work (probably a failed timer relay).
There is a slight oil leak from the engine crankshaft oil seal.
The nearside and offside front floorpan areas will need some kind of repair at some point due to corrosion.
The driver's seat leather has wear that is covered by black adhesive tape.
The front windscreen has curved scratches where the left hand side edges of both windscreen wipers scratched the glass (I think due to a build up of abrasive 'dust debris' where the wiper blades normally sit when it is not in use). I now clean the 'dust debris' off the windscreen glass where the wiper blades are before driving the car if it hasn't been driven for a few days or more. I don't know if the scratches can be removed by car glass polish or not.
The car will come with the following items not fitted:
A Lucas 60Ah lead acid battery (this was supplied as a warranty replacement in July 2023)
A Zender AU-5000 electric aerial (not fitted, needs at least greasing to work, I don't know if it will work even if it is cleaned and re-greased)
A rear wing grommet and silicone grease for the Zender aerial
Brand new Michelin wiper blades
The other stereo unit that came with the car.
A door seal holder (non-handed so can be fitted to either side of the car).
