I’m selling my lovely 1996 Saab 9000 CSE 2. 0t. having only 3 former keepers. I’ve used it as my daily commute to & from Bristol and it has never missed a beat.
As you can see in the photos the bodywork is not perfect, namely there is a crease to the drivers door & front wing. There are a few small dents and chips to the body as you would expect. The main thing is that it is exceptionally clean & rust free to the underside, wheel arches & boot area where these cars are prone to rust. My Saab specialist mechanic has backed this up. I have always changed the oil & serviced it as required.
The interior is clean and tidy. The drivers seat has slight wear. The rear seats are hardly used.
The car benefits from many new parts during my short ownership. Tyres, front discs, pads & hoses, radiator & hoses, starter motor, ignition coil, engine top mount bushes & Bluetooth Blaupunkt hands free radio.
There was a small oil leak, which came up on the mot, this has also been fixed.
A couple of small faults which I should mention are, the central locking works intermittently as does the third high level brake light.
The mot runs until 06/ 02/ 2025
The car is currently sorn and stored at my fathers house near Cheltenham, where it can be viewed.
The price is £1950 but I am open to a sensible offer. I have owed this lovely Saab for the last 6 month, but due to family circumstances I am forced to part with it. It is a very solid car finished in the desirable “Scarab Green” which I have really enjoyed driving. It pulls really well for a light pressure turbo, floats along and returns a respectable 36mpg. It will be sadly missed.
