Description
This is a nice honest Series 2a with lots going for it, running and driving well, starting easily and providing an enjoyable driving experience. It was purchased from the well regarded Jake Wright Landrovers in 2014 and comes with various invoices for servicing and maintenance work by Jake Wright and other specialist garages from before and after this time. It is solid and sound where it matters but clearly there are areas that could be improved cosmetically and mechanically. It would be the ideal candidate for someone who wants a running and driving project that can be used and enjoyed alongside making improvements according to their requirements and tastes. It has just been checked for safety and road worthiness with fluid levels being topped up, brakes and lights checked etc. It has also been fitted fairly recently with a full canvas hood in sand colour from Exmoor Trim which remains in good condition. An original safari hard top roof may be available if the new owner would prefer this to the canvas hood (please ask). It currently has Parabolic springs fitted.
According to the V5 the car was built in 1969 but registered in the UK since 1972, suggesting it was originally registered or used elsewhere, but I have no further info on this.
