Description
1960 MGA 1600cc Mk1 in Old English White with Coverdale Kensington Ruby luxury carpet.
Originally exported to Florida and repatriated in 1990, restored and converted to RHD soon after. It has had the gearbox changed to a Ford 5-speed by the previous owner which is still in good working order.
It has been recently resprayed in its original colour OEW.
Coolant expansion tank fitted to stop any minor overflow.
The cylinder head upgraded to unleaded petrol late last year, so no need for any petrol additives. Paperwork and receipts available for both jobs.
The car’s bodywork is free of rust, with no dents and dings and has solid wood floors. I have ramps in my garage, so I am happy for any inspection of the underneath. The car is garaged and only used on dry days.
It has a manual retractable black roof with no tears or rips. Also comes with a half tonneau cover with perspex side window guards, plus small wind windscreen ones.
Bright chrome wire wheels with a spare tyre. All tyres are in good condition. Exhaust back box replaced with a new Bell stainless Steel silencer, fitted to the S/ S link pipe.
All instruments are working and with the original Jaeger. Chrome boot rack with carpeted boot, and I still have the starter handle.
The battery was recently changed for a single 12v and the car starts without any problems.
The car comes with extensive service history, paperwork and heritage certificate. Regular servicing has been done by myself. The car drives well and is a pleasure to be in, especially on those dry summer days with the hood down.
Any questions I am happy to answer and an inspection welcomed. I have included more detailed photos of the two seats which interested people have asked about. There are some scuffs marks as shown. There are no tears or rips and the scuff marks can be easily fixed.
Also, a question someone has asked about the boot lid. It is open and will add a photo of it shut.
