Land Rover Series 2A 88” - Tax and MOT Exempt
1965 Land rover 88" Series 2a fitted with Rover 3. 5 V8 engine.
I purchased it in 2019 Intending to tidy it up and return it to a more original format as all the mechanical upgrades had been done by the previous owner.
I fitted a hard top cab in between working and restoring our farmhouse but as with all projects started with the best of intentions the Land Rover was put on the back burner and spent most of the time parked up undercover in the barn.
So after a couple of years with little use or progress I've decided to sell it.
Its in running order and this is some of work carried out by the previous owner:-
Rover V8 engine with twin SU carburettors, Luminition electronic ignition, Facet fuel pump with pressure regulator & new fuel lines.
Steve Parker V8 exhaust
Series 2A gearbox with Fairy overdrive
Electronic variable temperature fan on a heavy duty 4 core radiator with new hoses.
Servo brakes with new brake cylinders & shoes.
New parabolic springs & pro-comp shock absorbers.
16" Modular wheels although one has a slow puncture, with spare wheel currently fitted.
Seats re-upholstered with new foams.
Recent service including oil and new oil filter.
Some service history available, including receipts and previous MOT's.
Comes complete with the currently installed hard top and truck cab, drop down rear door. Also include spare drivers hub to match current hubs on vehicle (M16 x 1. 5 Metric).
Also included are front Series doors, and a spare rear door. Note the door tops require complete replacement.

The V8 sounds lovely with the Steve Parker exhaust system fitted.
