Description

It’s actually a Sunbeam 16. 9 Tourer but the advert won’t let me select that.
Chassis 5551G with the 2 litre straight 6 engine. This car has had an engine overhaul including pistons etc as well as replaced water pump bearings. I have lost the paperwork although on test it is self evident .
Very original 98 year old car. Closer to oily
Rag than concours but driving superbly. I have owned the car for about 7 years and have enjoyed tootling about in the Peak District. It was previously in the Sword Collection not driven much hence its originality.
It could do with a new hood although I tend to only use it on dry days.
You could restore the car although personally I think that would be a shame . As it is , it is a usable preserved car full of character. Super touring car just right for family picnics or a day at the races. It seats 5 plus easily and will transport you in style. This slightly scruffy car has presence you could be faded royalty or even in the “Ant Hill Mob” !
