Description
This particular example is presented in the stunning combination of Singapore Grey exterior over a Silverstone interior, optioned with extended Merino leather. Its original owner ticked a healthy number of boxes on the options list including the £5000 Bang & Olufsen stereo upgrade.
Owned by an award-winning race engineer and - given his line of work - it has been provided with the utmost of care and has wanted for nothing. Purchased during Covid19 lockdown in standard guise, he carefully chose this example given its healthy condition and in 2022 had oil analysis carried out to again provide satisfactory proof of the engines health.
Engine mapping is hugely important for not only power output but engine longevity, and there are many experts out there. One name, however is constantly pushing the boundaries of safe mega-power M cars; Velocity Tuning. This used BMW M5 has been mapped in person by Tommy at Velocity to what is known as a stage 2+ specification.
Power increased to a mighty 762 bhp and 950NM / 700lb ft of torque, alongside unaffected driveability and reliability.
Since then, the owner has added Project Gamma intake systems alongside Project Gamma upgraded charge coolers, lifting power to close to 800bhp - make no mistake, this is a monster of a vehicle.
The M5 was then fitted with upgraded H&R suspension springs alongside billet wheel spacers, giving a sportier ride and look without ruining comfort. The gearbox software was suitably retuned, and the braking system was upgraded with Tarox front brakes and fluid.
Maintained meticulously throughout his ownership, the owner has carried out a rigorous service regime carried out annually regardless of mileage. As recommended by tommy at Velocity it has only been ran on select premium 5w 40 oil never exceeding 3000 miles between changes.
The spark plugs and coil packs - a known weak spot - were changed upon his purchase and has always been warmed up and cooled down properly.
It has recently been subject to a service and replacement of both front and rear brake pads in preparation of its new owner. Specification:
