Description

Super rare Mk3 TVR Grantura.

Only 90 were ever made, and of those remaining, the vast majority are now racers. I was told by the club that mine is the 2nd oldest Mk3.

I’ve owned her for 3 years and completed much work, including:-

1622 MGA engine and gearbox rebuilt by Sigma Engineering in Gillingham - completed January 2025 (>£5k).
+ carbs rebuilt.

New radiator and electric fan. Original radiator will go with the car. New correct spec radiator header tank and hoses. £1150.

New water pump.

Refurbed original Mk3 Grantura steering wheel now fitted (I’ve updated one interior photo to show it).

5x new Pirelli Cinturato tyres (£1400).

Seats recovered, new carpets and overmats, new headlining (£1800).
Floors and bulkhead / panels covered in Eastwood sound and heat insulation matting.

New rear windscreen.
Spare front screen included as well.

New Raydyot racing mirrors.

New fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel sender.

New starter solenoid, windscreen washer pump, voltage stabiliser, battery, voltage regulator.

‘Maniflow’ in Salisbury modified and lifted the exhaust by 1. 5”.

New polished stainless door strips and rubber seals.

Box file full of documents, receipts, etc.

Previous owner had her for 29 years, and the owner prior to him had her for 17.

Displayed at Goodwood, and various events.

Viewing welcome.

House purchase prompts the sale, but I am not in a rush so she’ll move into storage if needed before new garages are sorted. I’d wanted a Mk3 for a long time. They’ve got the wishbone suspension, improved engine options and styling. It took me 35 years to find this one and was impressed by its overall condition and originality.
Outriggers sorted during historical body off restoration.
My car was a factory build in 1962, but only registered in 1964 (in Kent where they had yet to bring in age related registrations, hence the non-dating 6077 KP reg).
A previous owner found twin shocks / springs fitted to the rear of this car and suspected it may have been a factory racer for its first two years before being sold to its first private owner. The extra set of shocks / springs were removed so it is now to road spec.
