Ford E494A Anglia, Black (Original colour)
‘Doris’ Anglia I purchased as a project to improve but have not had the time to set aside and now looking to sell as lacking the space to store any longer. She looks good for her age and even today taking photos had nods of approval from passing motorists. Exterior generally has a lovely look and feel. She starts, has a new battery and runs but I have not investigated the mechanics further. Clutch seems fine and brakes are amazing for type and age. Tyres are fine and two have very little wear. The seats (albeit spongy!) look original. She has had the engine replaced at some stage but looks like many years ago.
Originally registered in Ireland 8th February 1949.
Paperwork from Ford Side Valve Club indicating built in 1948.
The vehicle has not been registered in the UK to retain the original number plate. It can however simply be done by application the DVLA with form V55/ 5 (Result a new age related registration number)
Sliding roof was replaced in 1975 by metalwork.
Pile of paperwork for history. Including original Buff Logbook, Receipts, Bills, correspondence from FSV Club and DVLA, movement forms, insurance details and sundry paperwork.
Sorry only one key.
