Rubber bumper Tahiti Blue MGB GT with working overdrive. Mechanically excellent and drives well going out of Cornwall a couple of times a year, for example, to British Car Museum and Beaulieu. Serviced and maintained by Tim Kelly of St Agnes. Subject to a bare metal restoration in 2013/ 14 and waxoiled so good underneath. The Paint now needs a refresh as some areas have rust bubbling through. The Autumn Leaf interior is in good condition with only minor marks. Webasto sunroof. I've owned the car for 10 years and there have been 3 former keepers. The date of build was 16 - 17 June 1976 and it was first on the road in Cheltenham. The second owner bought it in Gloucestershire before moving to Cornwall eventually putting it in storage in 1988 where it spent some 25 years in storage before being recommissioned by the third owner.
The engine was replaced in 2016 with a low mileage unit (31, 300 miles) rebuilt in 2009 by Naylor Brothers for an owner in Northumberland. This car was undriven before being sold to a car collector in North Yorkshire doing a V8 conversion and from whom I bought the engine. The work on the engine included an unleaded head conversion. In 2016, the engine was placed into PAD888R by Tim Kelly garage at 67, 960 miles and 15, 000 miles later goes very well.
Other work includes replacement starter motor, clutch slave cylinder, radiator and hoses, 123 electronic ignition, discs and pads, and rear brake refurbishment.
