Beautiful Land Rover Series 1 88”. 1956. 2ltr petrol.
Originally dispatched to Windmill & Lewis of Bristol on 14th June 1956 for home market.
Totally rebuilt with over £26k spent to get it to its current condition.
List is long but main items are:
galvanised chassis.
New bulkhead.
Rebuilt axles and diffs.
New brakes and lines.
All panels professionally repaired and repainted.
New fuel tank and pump.
Engine rebuilt (incl. new oil pump and professionally rebuilt original carb).
Gearbox rebuilt.
New Jones’s springs.
New props.
LED indicators and trafficators (on separate switches).
Aeroparts winch.
All capping etc re galvanised.
Correct Avon TM tyres (incl spare in rear).
New exhaust & manifold.
Seats (front & rear), fume curtain and tilt by UnderCover Covers.
Bodywork has just recently been professionally re sprayed. Overall this is a very tidy and usable Land Rover that attracts lots of attention at shows and on trips to the local town. Always makes me smile when I drive it but I need space so time for this Landy to be enjoyed by a new owner.
