Description

Just completed ground up restoration by Ian Slark with interior by John Skinner. Every panel showing any form of rust or distortion was replaced before the re spray the chassis was blasted checked for integrity powder coated and painted black. As much originality as possible was cleaned sanitised and restored . The engine was rebuilt shortly before the restoration the gear box was checked and overhauled. The servo was replaced just prior to the restoration and a new fuel pump and filter fitted. I have owned the car since 2011 and have owners details of this Uk car since 1979. It is the original 150bhp engine and has overdrive. I doubt that a better restored car with fuel injection and the 150bhp engine is out there. I bought this car in 2011 because I wanted a solid useable soft top classic. I quickly realised that the TR6 is great fun the engine is amazing and exhaust note exhilarating . I took the decision to do a total restoration some two years ago because whilst was wonderful to drive the body was showing signs of rust. Any lover of cars of this age will know that if you can see problems on the surface the hidden issues will be greater. The car was beautiful even in its pre restorative state but is now almost factory fresh. I am loath to part with it but new adventures beckon.
