Description
Finished in Snowberry White with Mohair hood and matching Tonneau cover. First registered on 1st Aug 1968, the car still bears it`s original registration number.
With less than 5000 Roadsters built, these models are rare. To find an example that has enjoyed the upgrades that this sports tourer was crying out for at it`s launch, is even rarer.
The car has it`s original gearbox with manual overdrive and the original 3 litre straight six engine has benefitted from:
Triple `twin choke` Webber carbs
Free-Flo short manifold
Electronic ignition
Spax adjustable dampers
Hydraulic power steering
Hi-Ratio rack and pinnion steering
Cross drilled brake discs
Modern, quality tyres
Painted 72 spoke wire wheels (inc spare)
There is lots of history with loads of bills and `photos and the car is MoT`d (although exempt) to Aug 2025.
OOB21G was featured in `Sporting Cars` magazine in Dec 1986 and can be viewed on Youtube in the following videos: `The Nearly Perfect Sports Car` a review by Classics World and `How to fix the MGC - Upgrades for performance and handling`.
This much improved Sports Tourer is still an MG at heart. It`s a fabulous drive and a British classic in every sense.
